Families of traffic crash victims, road safety advocates, faith leaders, elected officials, and community members will gather on Sunday, November 16 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Walnut Hill Park band shell to commemorate World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and to call for change in Connecticut. Family members of victims will share their stories, and there will be a roll call of pedestrians and bicyclists who have died on Connecticut roads. We will be joined by community leaders, and a sea of over 300 small flags will represent those who have died on our roads in the last year. Attendees are invited to carry photos of loved ones who were killed in a traffic crash, including while walking, bicycling, driving, or as a passenger.
Our deep gratitude to Trantolo & Trantolo for making this event possible.
