We are excited to welcome children into World Book Day in costume this year, dressed as a book character. There will be a costume competition, with one winner in each class. The costume needs to be related to a book character, there will also be a prize for staff. As part of the day we will also be asking classes to vote for their favourite new read and, very excitingly, we have an author visiting us! Alex Brooks, award winning author of books 'Why, oh why, am I a crocodile?' and 'Insects, bugs and rock and roll' will be visiting each class and talking about what it is like being an author.
