On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, artists from all over the globe will be hiding their creations in public places for strangers to discover… and we want YOU to join in right here in New Mexico!
How it works:
1️⃣ Create a small piece of art — painting, sketch, print, sculpture, jewelry, poem, photography, whatever your medium.
2️⃣ On Sept. 2, hide your art somewhere in public — a park bench, bus stop, coffee shop table, library shelf, trail marker… anywhere safe and accessible.
3️⃣ Include a note letting the finder know it’s theirs to keep, along with your social media handle so they can share the discovery.
4️⃣ Share a clue on your own social media (photo, riddle, or location hint) with the hashtag #ArtDropDay and #NMArtDropDay so others can play along!
This is more than just a scavenger hunt — it’s about spreading joy, connecting strangers, and celebrating creativity in all its forms. Imagine a passerby stumbling upon your art and having their whole day brightened! 🌟
