About this Event
Our observance of World AIDS Day on December 1 will feature two panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt, one of which was lovingly crafted by St. Mark's Lutheran Church to honor our members and friends lost to HIV/AIDS.
During our service, we'll hear stories from community members here in Baltimore that will help us remember and grieve, expand our understanding of HIV/AIDS' impact in our city today, and call us to not only survive, but thrive and celebrate as we reach for the future.
The program is suited for those of faith or those who do not claim religious belief.
You are welcome to bring a photograph with you of someone you have lost to HIV/AIDS, to be placed on our table of remembrance. Photographs will be returned at the end of the service. If you would like us to include the name(s) of your loved one(s) when we read our litany of remembrance, please share their name using the form at this link: https://forms.gle/ofHPZxELj2CFDxeZ6
Featuring music from the Baltimore Men's Chorus and Mr. James Harp, Organist.
A suggested donation $5-$20 will help offset the cost of bringing the quilt panels to Baltimore. No one turned away for lack of funds.
Free parking is available in the St. Mark's lot, located on the northwest corner of 20th and St. Paul (entrance on 20th Street).
