About this Event
WLGBT+, The City of Wolverhampton Council and The Methodist Church invite you to attend a memorial walk on World AIDS Day, to pay our respects to those lost by HIV/AIDS. The walk will start at 2pm by the bandstand and end with a vigil, held by Decon Linda Gilson, at the Aid's Memorial Tree, planted in the 1980s.
This event is free to attend and we hope you can join the community to honour those affected by HIV/AIDS, to remember loved ones and raise awareness about the ongoing impact of the disease. This memorial service is to symobilise solidaritary, rememberance and to foster a safe and supportive space for those affected by this disease and the stigma still attached to it.
All under 18s MUST be accompanied by an adult.
