Join the LGBT+ Archives Project of Louisiana at an exhibition to commemorate World AIDS Day. This exhibition features three components:Panels of the AIDS Memorial Quilt (focused on those we've lost from Louisiana)
"Standing on the Shoulders of Heroes" - an exhibit that introduces visitors to individuals that have had incredible impacts on the LGBTQIA+ community throughout history.
"Never Silent" - takes attendees through an emotional journey of LGBTQIA+ history, one that highlights both historic steps forward as well as the dangerous realities members of the community face today.
This event is free, and is open to the public. Registration is not required.
This event is part of the Archives Project's ongoing series of events documenting the history of HIV/AIDS in New Orleans: The New Orleans AIDS Memory Project (NOAMP).
