About this Event
Workspace for Black Girls: Healing Workplace Trauma Together
Workspace for Black Girls is an affirming space where Black women gather to name our pain, share our stories, and explore pathways to healing from workplace trauma. Rooted in the legacy of Black liberation and feminist struggle, this Healing Circle honors the resilience of Black women and centers the transformative power of collective healing, self-actualization, and community-led action.
Guided by the teachings of bell hooks, Audre Lorde, and Toni Cade Bambara, we recognize that healing and self-recovery are acts of political resistance. Our conversations honor the fullness of our identities, drawing strength from our shared experiences, kinship, and the life-sustaining wisdom of our ancestors. Together, we reclaim our humanity, embrace joy, and renew our commitment to thriving in a world that often denies us the space to do so.
Each session begins with a guided meditation, grounding participants in their sense of self and purpose. Facilitators with diverse expertise and lived experiences lead discussions, encouraging honest conversations and storytelling as tools for healing and empowerment. In small group breakout sessions, participants find opportunities to deepen connections, share strategies for wellness, and create affirming habits of being.
This space is intentionally centered on Black women, reclaiming our full humanity and affirming our resilience. We welcome non-Black women of color to join us as witnesses and allies, embracing the opportunity to listen, learn, and honor the space with humility.
In Workspace for Black Girls, we sustain the will to be well, drawing power from within to create a future where we thrive authentically. Together, we organize for change while nurturing our spirits, ensuring that the work of healing and liberation is woven into our daily lives.
This event is virtual and open to all ages. Join us in Love Your Tribe’s mission to foster self-discovery, collective healing, and community-led action, choosing wellness as a revolutionary act of resistance and renewal.
