About this Event
Join illustrator Cate James as she talks about her craft and reads some of the picture books she has illustrated. Children will learn some new creative skills in this hands-on workshop!
Suitable for ages 4–8
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

About Cate James
Cate James is an award-winning illustrator and printmaker from Sydney and Edinburgh. She specialises in children’s picture books. Cate also works at the UNSW Paddington campus as a lecturer and printmaking technician.
In 2023 Cate welcomed five picture books into the world, and she has an additional three in the works for 2024. Her images are created using a combination of pencil or ink line-work, drawn mostly from life, and a digital layering of colour and texture.
