About this Event
In this workshop, you will explore the creative process of weaving two simple yet versatile materials—paper and thread—into unique textures, patterns, and even abstract designs.
Starting by selecting papers and threads in colors and textures that appeal, you will learn to prepare the paper “loom” for weaving. Step by step, you’ll interlace thread through the paper, experimenting with layering, overlapping, and creating patterns. As you work, you will be encouraged to explore your own personal style, resulting in pieces that range from minimalist to intricate.
This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in hands-on creativity, from beginners to experienced crafters. It combines mindful concentration with artistic freedom, making it a relaxing yet inspiring activity. By the end, everyone leaves with a beautiful woven artwork, ready to display. All materials are provided; just bring your creativity!

Collage Working Club (CWC) is a weekly open workspace for artists working in the medium of paper. Organised in the format of alternate ‘drop in’ sessions and workshops masterclasses, it has both a regular facilitator, whilst also involving the artist community in the sharing of knowledge and skills. Providing materials, education and connections is the primary aim of CWC, and it will do this through the interdisciplinary art of collage as both an art form and a tool for personal growth.
