Join us at Morning Glorious Vintage for our next workshop hosted by Labhan Dinwoodie! She will be showing us how to repair holes in knitted garments and sweaters using creative “visible mending” techniques. Bring your project from home or just come and try it out using provided sample squares to practice with. If you have them, bring darning or tapestry needles, medium to large knitting needles, yarn or thread you’d like to use on your repair project, and safety pins. However it is not required you bring supplies. We have the space for 12 participants so please indicate if you plan to attend. Teens welcome, too. Recommended for anyone ages 8 and up!
Workshop teacher Labhan is an aerialist, training in the pro track program at NECCA, here from Scotland, a land where there are abundant sweaters to upcycle! At Morning Glorious Vintage we believe deeply in repairing and reworking clothing and reducing textile waste. And having fun learning new skills!
This event is By Donation. Please consider a generous donation at the time of the class for Labhan’s enthusiasm and her materials. However no one will be turned away for lack of funds. 🩷
