The KBAC Teen Book Arts Program offers free workshops every Spring in Papermaking, Printmaking, and Bookbinding explorations and a single workshop each Fall (the Fall "Mini"). This program is an excellent opportunity for students interested in the visual arts, students planning on studying art in college, or students who want to add to their art portfolio for college applications.
This October, students will learn the long and chain-stitch technique step-by-step (a binding that dates all the way back to medieval Germany!) with Rachel Stickney and create their own super-cool Longstitch journal with a leather cover and decorative stitching on the exterior of the spine.
