Join us for an enlightening panel discussion on a topic that many find uncomfortable but is a natural part of life. Our event will take place on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, 10 AM to 2 PM, at 6726 Center Rd Traverse City, where we will explore different perspectives on end of life issues in a safe and open environment.Our morning session (10 AM-12PM) will be a panel of four participants from various fields. This panel will be followed by a light lunch with breakout Death Café groups (12-2 PM). Participants include Donna Stein-Harris (Death Café Facilitator), Sharon Neumann (Grief Recovery Specialist), Rev. Alex Jensen (UUCGT Minister), and Stephanie Van Slyke (Healthcare Ethics Consultant). This event is free, though we ask a suggested donation of $10 to help cover costs. (Nobody is turned away for lack of funds.)
Whether you're curious about end-of-life care, interested in funeral traditions, or simply want to share your own experiences, this event is for you. Let's break the taboo and have an honest conversation about a subject that affects us all. Don't worry, talking about death won't K*ll you - but it might just change your perspective on life!
