🚨 New resources to support sustainable careers in the arts 🚨Creative New Zealand has worked with Tātai Aho Rau Core Education to produce resources that support arts and creative practitioners to make sustainable careers and businesses from their work. In this FREE workshop for past, current and future NZ Fringe Artists, we will share these recources with you in an easy and accessible way.
The Sustainable Careers resources focus on building financial resilience for arts practitioners in three areas in which artists most want support: managing finances, navigating the law, and promoting and marketing.
The resources build on the key findings in Creative New Zealand’s Remuneration Policy, which sets out principles and practice guidelines aimed at supporting fair remuneration for artists and arts practitioners.
Tātai Aho Rau Core Education has compiled a directory of relevant tools, working with practitioners and organisations to ensure they are practical, inclusive and accessible.
The NZ Fringe team is excited to support this project. We’re co-hosting this workshop with CNZ on Tuesday 28 May, 6-7pm, at Te Auaha, 65 Dixon Street, to share the resources with you. Come along and bring any burning questions you have about making a sustainable career in the arts.
