Small Works in Acrylic Paint

Join Janie Reisler for this NEW full-day workshop using where you will focus on small art with BIG results! Create your own series of intimate masterpieces using acrylic painting techniques on canvas.
Attendees will have four canvases to work on, with the goal being to create a grouping of works that are viewed as one entity. Think multi-canvas tryptics, or a series that tells a story and arranged in a grid, row, or pairs.
The workshop will focus on a theme for each individual's project and build the sequential canvases as a grouping. Janie will demonstrate various ways of adding the materials to the canvas and what elements make the pieces tie together.
Materials included are: 4-5 assorted stretched canvases, size: 10” x 12”, 8” x 10”, 5” x 7”, 4” x 4", acrylic paints, gels and mediums, unique tools and brushes. Please feel free to bring your own favorite tools and paints as well.
This is a workshop for every level of artist from beginner to experienced painter. All materials provided!

10:30am Workshop Begins
1:00pm Break for Lunch Please bring food or beverage of your choice for the lunch break. Arts Warehouse has a large refrigerator where items may be stored as well as a microwave if needed. Bedner’s Market is just a short walk away with fresh made soups, salads, and sandwiches available as well.
2:30pm Workshop is dismissed

About the Instructor:
Janie Reisler is a new resident to South Florida coming from Montreal, Canada. She is an artist, graphic designer, graduate art historian and educator and has been teaching many art styles for over 30 years. These styles include classical life drawing, 3D design, fashion illustration, drawing from the live model, decorative painting, collage, recycled/upcycled art and currently the trending, MIXED MEDIA/ STREET ART STYLE. She is thrilled to bring her passion and expertise to the Arts Warehouse in DELRAY BEACH.
