Ah that tricky headstand! Hands up if you've struggled to get to grips with Sirsasana, the king of the asana? It's a difficult posture to master, but a beneficial one that (eventually) calms the mind and strengthens the whole body.Join Ayesha to break down the foundations for a strong and sustainable headstand. We will work on some strengthening and stretching drills you can practice on your own after the class, leading up to different variations of headstand from tripod to classical, as well as more advanced variations such as one arm. We will also explore some transitions such as crow to tripod and jumping back to chaturanga as well as gentler supported versions you can take at the wall.
Please bring a pen and paper if you want to write down some of the drills, and bricks and blocks too if you have them.
