"Western Coast African Dance through Farisogo Sira Method" Eva Azevedo
The creation of Farisogo Sira method and its pedagogy comes from the path of its creator Eva azevedo, as a dancer, choreographer, trainer and researcher in the Dances of the West Coast of Africa, namely Burkina Faso, Guinea Conakry, Benin and Senegal, as well as in Specialization in Pilates Method.
Its main objective is to teach the specific technique that characterizes the movements of those dances, adapting it to bodies with different postural, social and cultural experiences, leading them to an individual discovery, having as references the 5 natural elements (earth, water, fire, air and space) and the 5 expressive and creative rhythms (Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness) translated by the dancer and writer Gabrielle Roth.
This work represents the realization of a vision and translation of the emerging qualities of dance, resulting from the coexistence between tradition and contemporaneity, establishing other movements in creative processes, through the approach of new connections between being and the world, art and culture.
“Farisogo Sira” received support from the GDA, Artists' Rights Management and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation during its research/creation and its touring in Burkina Faso, Benin and Brazil.

"Create Your Own Movement through Ritual" Jennifer Muteteli
For this workshop Jennifer invites participants to explore their lives through the lens of ritual.
What are the boundaries between the actions of your daily life, a shared ritual and performance?
Through movement, choreography and direction she will guide us towards creating sequences, symbolic actions and personas that draw out your essence and point of view.
Sharing her research as we explore which ‘state of mind’ we enter to begin the creative act, accessing imagination through relaxation practices.
What is the impact that the altered state of a performer has on their audience?
Looking at an individuals small step turning into a collective quantum leap…
This workshop will be a journey through deep physical and mental training, drawing on her 20 years of professional training in contemporary dance, physical theatre, mime, clown training, street theatre, Haitian vodou dance, DIY, hypnotherapy and social work.
We can often create rituals unconsciously, that can end up having positive or negative impacts on our lives. This workshop aims to bring extra awareness to the art we are making and the lives we are living.

During her BA in Dance Studies at Roehampton University she took a sabbatical to Finland training at the Mime Centre 2004 and has continued making experimental physical theatre ever since.
