Join us for a comprehensive 6-week audio training workshop that will teach you the art and science of professional live sound engineering!

Through six hands-on 90-minute classroom sessions, you'll master the Behringer x32 Rack digital mixer and gain real-world production skills including:

• Signal flow fundamentals and proper gain staging
• EQ, compression, and effects processing
• Monitor mixing and feedback management
• Live troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Professional workflow and communication with artists

Training Includes:

✓ 2 field shadow shifts at live community events

No prior audio experience required for crew positions, though it's preferred for lead engineer roles. You must be able to lift 25+ lbs and have reliable transportation.

About Roots on the Road:

This is the mobile production arm of the Roots Music Project, dedicated to bringing professional-grade sound to community festivals, block parties, and outdoor events. By joining this training, you'll become part of a volunteer team that ensures local musicians sound their best wherever they perform.

Commitment:

Upon completion of the training, graduates are encouraged to volunteer at community events to gain practical experience and give back to the local music scene.
