About this Event
From numbness to action.
From isolation to connection .
From chaos to commitment .
Invitation: to pod up with 2+ people to resist and practice a better world.
So many of us feel overwhelmed and unsure about what to do in this political moment. This workshop will support 3+ person pods, whether a pod of friends, neighbors, or colleagues, to skill up and learn how to resist policy changes, prepare for neighborhood crises, and support each other if/when impacted. We will use tools like pod-mapping, somatics (body-based practice), scenario planning, and risk assessments to equip ourselves to be ready and conneced to show up in solidarity, in your values, and in purposeful action. Attendees of this workshop will additionally be invited to a weekly drop-in space hosted by the facilitators to maintain a felt sense of community and solidarity, and to workshop any issues.
VERY IMPORTANT NOTE:
Attendees must attend in groups of 3+ and
Each person in the group must register in advance.
We encourage participants to think about who in their life they can team up with at work, at school, in their neighborhood, or in their social circles where they anticipate encountering oppressive policy changes, repression, violence, denial of care, or other harmful actions under the current administration. By asking people to attend with you, you take the first step in building a "pod" to struggle side-by-side with and create positive resistance and change.
