About this Event

Led by artist and author August Lamm, this ink drawing workshop will center on the crosshatching technique, specifically the use of line to capture subtle light shifts and optical distortions through glass.

Taking inspiration from art historical greats, students will learn the essentials of this unique approach, from shadow-mapping to contour lines and beyond, each producing a still life in ink. This class is suitable for all levels of experience, including beginners. Instruction will be tailored to the individual.

All supplies will be provided for students to use and take home.

  • 3 micron fineliners of varying sizes
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • High quality drawing paper

Each student will also receive printed instructional materials.
