Course Description:
This workshop focuses on cultivating authentic reactions and honest character work. Learn to listen deeply, embrace emotional reactions, and break free from typical responses to create truly spontaneous and engaging scenes.
Prequisites:
This workshop is for improv beginners who relish a different challenge and/or performers with an intermediate knowledge of improv. Any acting experience is a bonus, but not required.

Water, a notebook for general note-taking, and comfy shoes.
Instructor:
Charles Givens has been an improviser since 2000, beginning with Wake County's high school group, Teen Co. Charles has performed short-form, longform, and sketch comedy with Mettlesome. He has taught improv workshops for Duke and NC State and has performed in improv festivals in Raleigh, Atlanta, Richmond and New York City. Charles has also coached independent longform improv teams in the Triangle.
