Join us for two memorable afterntoons on Saturday and Sunday, December 6-7, from 2–4 p.m. at Eartha’s Farm and Market to celebrate the launch of our gorgeous 2025 Anthology, (a) river rising: SPACES and PLACES (Vol. VII).
This powerful collection amplifies the voices and stories of more than 80 Jacksonville-based writers and artists on themes of home, belonging, emotional refuge, and joyous rebellion. It's areflection on the diverse members of our community. Let’s come together to honor their work, share in their journeys, and toast to the transformative power of storytelling.

Event Schedule: Saturday
- 1:30 p.m. [Pre-event] Come early for the Farmer's Market at Eartha’s Farm and Market!
- 2:00 p.m. Doors open and books available in the interior. Wander around to enjoy a presentation on Eartha White and a photography exhibit by the Jacksonville Photography Hub on special spaces and places. Please plan to stay for the afternoon after picking up your copy; you're going to love it!
- 2:30 p.m. Welcome and Introduction by Jennifer Wolfe and managing editor Jordy/n Bowen, with our cover artist Marsha Hatcher, and special guests Emily Mitchell (Zora Neale Hurston Fellow) and Satara Hall (Jacksonville Photography hub)
- 3:00–3:45 p.m. Community Read-Around: Contributors are invited to share their work, discuss their artistic process, or reflect on each other’s creations in small groups.
- 3:45 p.m. Closing Ceremony and additional purchases of the Anthology and the matching Anthology Journal.

- 2:00 p.m. Opening and welcome by Jennifer Wolfe
- 2:15 p.m. Speakers, including Sarah Salvatore, Farm Director, Imani Vidal, Farm Manager, and Bianca Dawson, Market Manager and Place-Maker Cohort Member
- 2:30 p.m. Farm Tour and Workshops, including
- Watercolor with Teresa Cook in her book on Jacksoville
- Indian cooking and recipe collection project, inspired by Aditi Ranjan’s poem in the anthology
- Build a fairy house and fairy furniture with facilitators Olivia Vo and Autumn Rutherford using found materials at the farm (for display there)
- 3:30 p.m. Open Mic begins!
