Join this interactive session Integrating the value of nature, people, society and future wellbeing in business decision making to explore how organisations and businesses are transforming economic decision-making by integrating the value of on nature, people, society and the economy. Hear how systems thinking can be used to understand our impacts and dependencies on natural, social, human as well as produced capitals, to achieve wellbeing for all.
Hear about the practical steps companies, investment and policy take and learn how they ensure transparency on the underlying logic and confidence that the metrics used are really fit for purpose. We will demystify how to balance what truly matters in decisions, demonstrate real world examples, and to show how it can both inform and transform economic decision making.
This workshop is hosted by Capitals Coalition in the context of the 7th OECD World Forum on Well-being.

Natalie lead the innovation and partnerships needed deliver system change so that the value provide by all capitals inform decision making in business, finance and government. Previously, Natalie was Global Director at social change institution the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), where delivered global impact through its research and its 30,000+ Fellowship. Natalie began her career in the private sector working for a FTSE 100 company in Europe and then built a highly successful socio-economic impact consultancy within think tank the New Economics Foundation (NEF) in the UK and internationally, working with 100s of charities, social enterprises and governments.

Madeleine Evans, Head of Impact, Private Markets at Generation Investment Management
Madeleine leads impact strategy and value creation for Generation's Growth Equity and Private Equity strategies. Prior to Generation, Madeleine had roles as Head of Responsible Investment & ESG Advisory at Wallbrook, a global sustainability consultancy; Director of Business Development at TPG's portfolio company Tes Global; and as an investor at TPG Capital. As part of her advocacy work, she is a member of the Technical Assistance Committee advising the UK government on endorsement of ISSB S1 & S2, and a member of the Working Group for the Taskforce for Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures.
Charmian Love, Global Director of Advocacy at Natura & Co
Charmian focuses on supporting Natura&Co to take a stand on key issues, and deepening relationships with partners who share a commitment to engaging in system-level change. She advocates for Natura’s ground-breaking work on Integrated Profit & Loss Accounting. She also teaches and learns with students at Said Business School, University of Oxford where she designed the popular MBA course Business 2030, and the executive course The Oxford Climate Emergency Programme. Char is a serial entrepreneur having been the co-founder of Volans, Heliotropy and B Lab UK where she held the role of Chair and Activist in Residence. She is also a member of the working group to create a Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures.
Dr. Romina Boarini, Director at the OECD WISE (Well-Being, Inclusion, Sustainability and Equal Opportunity) Centre
Romina promotes the OECD’s position as a leading international institution in the area of well-being, inclusion, sustainability and equal opportunity, and contributes to strengthening OECD research and advice on the Beyond GDP Agenda; policies for well-being; inclusive growth and SDGs. She was previously a Senior Advisor to the OECD Secretary-General and the Head of the Inclusive Growth Initiative, where she developed the OECD Framework for Action on Inclusive Growth and launched Business for Inclusive Growth.
Tom McKenna, Senior Economist, Capitals Coalition
Tom is an Ecological Economist and leads the technical innovation needed to advance capitals and biodiversity accounting and valuation. Tom co-authored the latest guidance on systems thinking in business, the Capitals Protocol, part of the Framework for Integrated Decision-Making by the Capitals Coalition. Previously, Tom worked as an Economist at Scottish non-departmental government body NatureScot and helped to develop the natural capital approach at local and national levels, including the world’s only non-monetary national natural capital indicator. He is passionate about ensuring that all types of value are included in decision-making and believes that economics can be a force for good to create solutions that benefit society and nature.
