Saturday, December 11 | 10am to 4pm | Skill Level: Beginning to IntermediateInstructor: Kate Carney, Professional fine arts painter
Fee: $125 Members, $175 Non-Members
This fun, interactive workshop focuses on understanding and using complementary colors in an expressive manner, which is part of the magic of Impressionist painting. This is a hands-on day of painting, and artists will work along with Kate learning, growing, making messes, laughing, and best of all...creating. After displaying a piece implementing the techniques to be learned that day, Kate then demonstrates each stage of the process and gives the artists the chance to work on their own iris paintings.
All of your materials are included, including toned canvases, oil paints, brushes (to borrow), palette knives, palettes, and mediums. If you have favorite brushes suitable for oils you may bring them. Suitable for all stages of artistic experience.
Kate is an award winning artist based in Central Florida. Educated in England at University of London's Chelsea School of Art and Queen's College, Kate brings her knowledge of the classics to her classes to help support the newer techniques with solid technical experience.
Registration deadline: December 5th, 2021
