Natural Dyes for PysankySaturday, March 15, 1 – 3 PM
In this workshop, suitable for all skill levels, you'll create two types of kryshanky to take home: a leaf-and-flower imprinted travianka and another made with baking soda. These beautifully colored boiled eggs are a traditional part of Easter Sunday breakfast in Ukraine.
This hands-on experience is ideal for anyone wanting to deepen their appreciation for Ukrainian traditions and the natural world. All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
Note: Traditional "krashanky" are boiled eggs dyed a single color using vegetable dyes. These eggs are blessed and eaten during Easter celebrations.
Price: $30 Members / $40 Non-Members
