Modern Mixed Media Portraits
Led by Janie Reisler
$125 (includes a materials fee)
In this NEW workshop, we will focus on creating a Mixed Media portrait or self portrait with a modern art edge! By combining actual painting techniques with collage, we will compose a portrait with a unique modern art style. Students are encouraged to bring some of their own photos and images to personalize their piece.
Students will walk away with a completed portrait, ready to varnish with ‘how to’ instructions once dry.

10:30am Workshop Begins
1:00pm Quick Break for Lunch Please bring food or beverage of your choice for the lunch break. Arts Warehouse has a large refrigerator where items may be stored as well ase a microwave if needed. Bedner's Market is just a short walk away with fresh made soups, salads, and sandwiches available as well.
2:30pm Workshop is dismissed
About the Instructor:
Janie Reisler is a mixed media artist, graphic designer and modern painter, originally from Montreal, Quebec. She has taught at many art schools, universities and art centres in Canada and now South Florida, where she currently resides. She holds an honors degree in Art History from McGill University, a degree in graphic design from Dawson College and a certification in fashion illustration and merchandising from Lasalle College as well. With over 35 years as an owner of a National fashion brand, she is now happily retired and doing what she loves most, teaching unique workshops and art courses. By instructing in the intuitive teaching method, she feels her classes bring out the most creative results for her students. Her workshops are trending in ‘What’s happening’ in the art world today.

No refund will be given if requested less than seventy two (72) hours until scheduled workshop time for any reason. Only one ticket transfer will be allowed per person per workshop type, and will only occur if requested outside of the 72 hour mark of the registered workshop.
