Better watch out… Krampus is coming to the wonderfully weird world of Eugene, Oregon! So who is Krampus, you ask? He’s the devilish counterpart to St. Nick—while the jolly old elf brings candy and presents, Krampus prefers to dole out coal to the naughty little tots. You might say his tagline is “have yourself an eerie little Christmas.” With this in mind, let's have some fun with this wintery fiend and make some ornaments in his honor.
Join me as we craft delightfully wicked Krampus ornaments that are sure to add some spice to your tree. Using clay and acrylic paints, you’ll sculpt and paint your own mini-monster, complete with a snarling face, twisted horns, and a grim smile that promises to keep the naughty in check.
Whether you’re a seasoned creator or just starting your crafting journey, you’ll walk away with a unique ornament that’s part art, part freaky, and all holiday spirit (of the spooky variety).
Michael deMeng is an assemblage artist from Vancouver, Canada who exhibits and teaches throughout the world.
