Workshop: Intro to Oils (Ages 18+)
Students will gain an introduction to oil paints in this two-session workshop with local artist, Lindsay Mueller. Students will learn about paint mediums, setting up a palette, basic color mixing, and composition with a focus on oils. Students will first complete a series of color-mixing exercises to learn about value, temperature, and intensity. After this, students will have the opportunity to work from a still life to learn how to complete an oil painting from start to finish. Students will leave with an oil painting kit to take home and the skills and resources to continue oil painting! No prior painting or oil paint experience necessary.

This class is a workshop and will meet two times.
Supplies are included in the cost of this class. Students will leave the class with an oil painting kit.
This is an in-person workshop that will be held onsite at MoCA Arlington.
