Instructor: Your instructor for this class series is Deb Heinrich, owner of Waystone Farm. Deb is a scientist by training, a farmer by vocation and a competitive ballroom dancer in her spare time. Deb runs Waystone Farm, a small eight acre farm whose model is sustainability. Deb and her husband, Russell, live in a net zero home run completely on solar with geothermal heating and cooling. They try to grow their own food and have chickens, goats, ducks and a mini donkey named Delilah.
Class I: Dill Pickles Three Ways

What you will learn: Learn to preserve your cucumbers by pickling them three different ways. You will make quick refrigerator pickles, you will water-bath can pickles in vinegar, and you will also learn how to make pickles through fermentation.
Additional Details: We will provide all ingredients and equipment necessary for the class. You will bring home with you two pint jars of pickles that you make in the class.
