Workshop: Digitize Your Family Photos & Stories
CGS Members please join our special guest, Rick Voight, CEO of Vivid-Pix, to discover the many uses of our new overhead scanner. Lecture and demonstration at 10:00 am. The lecture and demonstration will be broadcast on Zoom.
Bring your family photos, memories, stories, and memorabilia. We will use the California Genealogical Society's new Vivid-Pix Memory Station to scan, restore, and record you talking about your family memories. We can save your oral memories with your photos onto a USB, free for you.
- Adding your oral family memories to the photos.
- Learn how to create a slideshow-video of your photos with voice and music.
- How to organize your digitized photos.
- Use Vivid-Pix Restore software to improve old photos.
Bring Your Own brown bag lunch.
We are located in the historic Breuner Building at 22nd Street & Broadway, one block north of the Paramount Theater, in Uptown Oakland. We are just three blocks from the 19th Street BART Station. Further instructions will be included with your registration confirmation, including access to a parking permit in the lot behind our building.
Pre-registration is required. Class size is limited so register early to confirm your spot.
CGS members may attend the live event free of charge.
