On the exhibition 'Japan de luxe – The Art of the Surimono Prints'This workshop invites you to experience traditional Japanese woodblock printing techniques.Carve your own design onto a small block of magnolia wood using engraving knives, then learn the traditional colouring method by mixing suihi-enogu (pigments made from colored clay or seashells) with nikawa (animal-hide glue), and print your unique artwork on fine Japanese washi paper.
