Book launch & workshop on nutrition, safe food prep & mealtime dignity for those with cognitive changes with Emily Ong & Ler Yi Bin.
About this Event

Self-published author Emily Ong partners with registered dietitian Ler Yibin to transform a traditional book launch into an interactive, hands-on workshop.
Drawing from the book Guide to Eating Well and Cooking Safely with Cognitive Changes, participants will engage in meaningful discussions and practical applications centred on two key themes:
• Supporting individuals with dementia to eat well
• Meal planning and safe food preparation for those with chewing and swallowing difficulties
Through guided conversations and shared learning, participants will gain a deeper understanding of eating challenges associated with cognitive decline. More importantly, they will explore practical strategies to support their loved ones with dignity — preserving independence in self-feeding for as long as possible while maintaining the joy and social connection of mealtimes.
The workshop will be co-facilitated by Emily Ong and Yi Bin, a registered dietitian and founder of Beyond Food. The organisers: Emily Ong, Beyond Food, 5 Senses and SUSS.

Date: Saturday, 6 June 2026 Time: 10am to 1.30pm Venue: 5 Senses@Odeon333, 333 North Bridge Road, B1-12 Odeon 333 Lunch provided. Limited to 20 participants.
