About this Event

Workshop 3: Living Waters

Speakers: Cara Parrett (The Faraday Institute for Science and Religion) and Rev. Daniel Addo (Church of Pentecost, UK)

Welcome to the third (and final) of three workshops where we explore the intersection of faith and science in creation care from a Pentecostal perspective. Join us for insightful discussions and thought-provoking presentations. These events are aimed at African and African-diaspora Pentecostal church leaders in all areas of ministry. Whether paid or voluntary, if you have a role in leading people in your church then these events are for you.

In this final workshop entitled Living Waters, we will draw together the themes of the previous two workshops in practical ways. We will explore Christ-centred, Spirit-led, Science-guided action that helps blessings to flow as we care for God's beautiful world.

Cara Parrett studied marine biology and oceanography at the University of Cape Town, and has had the opportunity to engage with conservation programmes in her home country to South Africa, as well as in Madagascar and the Republic of Maldives. She now works on the youth and schools team at the Faraday Institute for Science and Religion, to bring her scientific knowledge into dialogue with religious faith, and to encourage and support these conservations amongst young people, and their educators.

Rev. Daniel Addo is a bi-vocational Gospel minister serving at the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) church in Birmingham, UK. Dan holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's in Sustainable Energy Technologies from Coventry University and the University of Warwick, respectively. He has a strong passion for Environmentalism and Water technologies.
