Letâs move beyond labels and into understanding. This is where compassion meets practical support.
Five specialist workshops will be held once a month, starting in September 2025. Mix and mix, or do all five.
About Us
These workshops are created and delivered by Helen and Chris Hoyteâtwo passionate, down-to-earth counsellors who both live with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and have spent years supporting others with it, too.
Between us, we run www.helenhoyte.co.uk and www.counsellingtorbay.co.uk, offering therapy and psychoeducation for people navigating ADHD, neurodivergence, trauma, and the challenges of modern life.
We donât just talk theoryâwe live this stuff.
We understand how ADHD can show up in the therapy room, often disguised as anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem, feeling âtoo muchâ and believing they are âtoo sensitiveâ.
We also know how life-changing it can be when someone finally feels seen and understood.
This five-part training is designed by counsellors, for counsellors, bringing together lived experience of ADHD, up-to-date science, and years of hands-on therapeutic work.
Whether youâre completely new to ADHD or looking to deepen your existing knowledge, these workshops offer grounded, accessible tools and insights to support your workâand maybe yourself, too.
A Compassionate, In-Depth Training for Counsellors.
Are you seeking to enhance your confidence in working with clients who may be neurodivergent?
This one-day workshop offers a friendly, accessible, and evidence-informed introduction to ADHDâperfect for counsellors at any stage of their training or practice.
Whether ADHD is brand new to you or something you want to understand more deeply, this session will help you feel clearer, more confident, and more equipped to hold space for clients with attention differences.
