Workplace conflict mediation

Workshop on mediation to avoid formal processes and find positive ways to have difficult conversations
About this Event

Employee engagement improves in positive cultures in which staff share the values of the organisation. People professionals are finding that managers are increasingly uncomfortable with difficult conversations and with entering into formal disciplinary and grievance procedures.

Organisations which introduce mediation at the informal stage are finding that workplace conflict can be reduced while lengthy formal processes can be avoided. Louise Clayton, Deputy Director for Milton Keynes Hospital has been encouraging managers to consider mediation as a first step in resolving issues.

Louise will share her experience of the benefits of managers being trained in mediation skills with a view to carrying out proper mediation or in some cases, using those skills in informal processes before the formal processes are initiated.

This will be an interactive session, discussing practical examples as well as sharing good ideas for positive improvements for people professionals at work.

You will be supporting your Continuing Professional Development because through working with the facilitator, you will understand: Click here for more information.
