Class Description:
Afro-dance is a choreography-based class with some freestyle elements. Afro dance is a huge umbrella of dance styles influenced by East, West, South, and Central Africa. In this class, you will learn the history and foundation, choreography, muscle memory, as well as stylized and freestyle movements.

About the instructor:
Tomiko is a Nigerian-American, multiplidicinary artist with an emphasis and primary work teaching Afro Dance. Using the influence of her Nigerian culture and life experiences, Tomiko brings to life colorful narratives of her people, ancestry, and personal story. Afro Dance stems from West African street style dances; expands through continent + the african diaspora.
