Liz will begin with an outline of Schizophrenia, its symptoms and treatment and the challenges it presents to professionals and their clients. She will include case studies and offer the chance to discuss ways of engaging these clients in the counselling process.
The aim of the session is to debunk some of the myths about people with psychosis and explore how counselling can be beneficial for this client group.
The session will also briefly discuss the Mental Health Act.
