MUA Branch secretary and the Working Waves team are announcing the 2025 edition of Working Waves will mark 30 years of the MUA signature event and we are seeking the support and attendance of all branches to help us celebrate this remarkable milestone. Held once again at Soldiers Beach, Norah Head on Friday 21st March the Working Waves team have preparations well underway and organising what will be our biggest event ever. Including more prizes than ever before showcasing 2 x Peter McCabe designed and made surfboards which will be raffled and drawn on the day along with many other prizes for competitors and attendees. Men's Open Shortboard
Men's over 45's
Men's Longboard
Women's Open Short Board
Comrades Cup Relay (Team Event Board, Swim, Run).
We are seeking participants from all branches along with anyone who would like to attend the day to show their support. So dust of your surfboard, break out the boardies and come along to the greatest event on the MUA calendar. We would like to invite all branches and sections to support the event and send a team of surfers to compete, make new comrades and ensure the 30th year of this event is our best yet. If all Branches and sections could consider a donation to help us with the running costs of the event we would be very much appreciative.
At the conclusion of the events on the day we will be providing food and beverages at the Norah Head Sports Club where the presentation and formalities will be held with the winners being announced, we will draw the winners of the surfboards and lucky door prize and continue the celebrations into the night.
