Ciara Watson, the founder of Autism Supports, the mother of an autistic teenager and a professional who worked in this area for 15 years, will discuss issues from parent and professional prospectives to help navigate the concerns you may have about the child in your setting.
Ciara will aim to address the following points:

• How to approach parents about gaining AIM’s supports.
• Meeting with parents to get a greater understanding of concerns they may have at home.
• How to use positive language and collaborate with parents in a positive manner to best support the child in your setting.
• Ideas on external supports for the parents and who you can contact in your area for further information.
• Discussing any concerns you may have in relation to your service.
