Welcome to Working Equitation – the fastest growing discipline in equestrian sport, offering training to promote balance, suppleness, agility, grace, obedience, accuracy, confidence and fun! A great way to bring out the very best in you and your horse.From beginners to accomplished riders, green youngsters to mature competition horses. Working Equitation offers a sport suitable for horses and ponies of all breeds, temperaments, and abilities. From groundwork and basic schooling to advanced movements and classical refinement – every session is focused on developing a great relationship between you and your horse
What is it?
Comprises three phases as follows:
• Dressage - Similar to BD in structure and movements
• Ease of Handling (dressage with ‘stuff in the way’) - A series of obstacles, including: Bridge, Slalom, Gate, Bull with ‘Vara’ / Garrocha, Bell, Two Barrels, Round Pen and ‘Sideways Pole’ to develop dexterity and confidence – to be performed calmly and obediently showing quality paces, transitions, rhythm and patience.
• Speed Round - as above, but simpler and fast!
• Cattle Penning – Advanced/International level only
Suitable for:
Riders of all levels – from novice to advanced
All horse breeds – from cobs to Andalusians, warmbloods to ponies
Anyone looking to develop balance, suppleness, agility, obedience, confidence and trust.
What to Expect:
Private or shared (maximum of two) sessions, focused on your partnership with your horse, working at your pace
Introduction to and familiarisation with the Ease of Handling obstacles, at your appropriate level
In-hand or ridden - according to your needs
