ABOUT WORK IN PROGRESS SCREENINGS

Work In Progress is Docs In Progress' flagship rough cut screening program. Established in May 2004, it has provided valuable feedback to over 150 documentaries and filmmakers, fostering community engagement. Filmmakers who received this support achieved completion and distribution goals, with their films being broadcast nationally, premiering at major festivals, and winning awards like the Peabody, Oscar Short List, and Emmy.

ABOUT DOCS IN PROGRESS

Docs In Progress is a nonprofit that supports documentary filmmakers through workshops, feedback screenings, and fellowship programs. It helps filmmakers develop skills, refine projects, and engage with the community through film. It offers networking opportunities. The organization engages audiences and connects the local community with documentary films that address social, cultural, and historical topics. Docs In Progress runs workshops specifically for youth, helping young people learn about documentary filmmaking and use it as a tool to tell their stories.
