Join us for a Poetry Night! Welcoming Writers of all types, ages and backgrounds. We'll use this time for sharing, performing and writing spoken word and reflecting on the nature of all things creative and wordy.
Doors at 6:15. We'll start a sharing circle around 6:30 and if time allows, we'll do some more writing surrounding a particular theme.
For those that do well with a deadline, we encourage folks to create a piece to share on the 27th under the following prompt:
Write a poem based on a dream you had. Try to reproduce the sensations of the dream.
This prompt is optional.
Feel free to bring any piece you would like to share, either written by yourself or even another poet. Also no requirement to share. Just come listen and enjoy!
Also bring some suggestions for prompts for our next gathering.
There will be some folding chairs there, but feel free to bring your own chair or a floor cushion and anything else that may make you feel comfortable.
It is advisable to bring a headlamp or flashlight with you to access the Poetry Yurt.
