River City Poets are back at Firehouse for an evening of inspiration and camaraderie! We'll kick off the night with time to grab a drink at the bar & reconnect with fellow poet-peeps, then get the poetry rolling with feature performances before ending with an open mic opportunity under the bright lights of Firehouse's center stage. We're thrilled to be kicking off our 2026 season at Firehouse with a double feature: VA Smith, whose 3rd collection, ADAPTATIONS, debuted last September; and C'ville's Patsy Asuncion, who also had a 3rd collection--A UNIVERSAL BELONGING--launch last fall. With these two front and center, it's sure to be a dynamo of an opening!
Open mic signup is onsite starting at 5:45pm.
$5 suggested donation at the door.
