Words Meet ArtFriday, September 13, 6:30-8:30 pm
~OR~
Saturday, September 14th, 2:00-4:00 pm
Writers of any experience or genre are welcome to attend this free-write session guided by Ana McCracken, founder of the Ames Writers Collective. Participants will view the Arts as Alchemy "Forgetting to Remember Pieces of Me" exhibit by Deb Kline and explore images that captivate them. The imagery will be used as a prompt to create original prose and poetry. Rather than an art critique, this individual response is an expansion and reflection of the author’s personal story. Writers are invited to read their work at the Arts as Alchemy Participant Showcase on Friday, September 20th @ 6:30 pm. Registration is free with RSVP requested by emailing [email protected]. You are welcome to attend one or both sessions.
