Celebrate one year of Words for Wellbeing events with ‘Words From Within’, an evening of poetry focusing on the mystical, the magical, and the expressively extraordinary!For this very special event, we’ll be joined by Nic Hosking, who will be treating us to a unique sound bath experience interspersed with poetry readings from a selection of local poets, as well as passages from a variety of sacred texts.
We also have featured reader, Fiona Robertson, who will be traveling to Bournemouth to read from her debut poetry collection, ‘Eve Was A Realist: Poems for the Untamed Heart’. Author of ‘The Dark Night of the Soul: A Journey from Absence to Presence’, and a practitioner of embodied inquiry with many years of experience, Fiona’s poetry is as tender as it is uncompromising, navigating the inner spaces between emergency and emergence with the clarity of intelligence and heart.
And of course, there will be an hour of open mic for anyone else that wants to join in and share their words (poems tied into the theme are preferred, but not essential).
Hosted by C.W. Blackburn with co-host Jamie Derrick (organiser of the Wild Words writing group at Talbot Woods) and located in The Green Room at Camden Bar, Westbourne, this is sure to be a soul-stirring evening full of powerful performances and spell-binding verse, with creativity and community spirit at its heart.

This is a non-funded charity event to promote creativity and wellbeing in the local community. All funds raised from the event will be donated to Bournemouth Samaritans.
7.30pm -10.30pm (approx.) – Doors Open at 7.00pm
The sound bath will take place approximately 8.00-9.00pm. The door to The Green Room will be closed for this part of the evening, so please make sure you arrive in advance of this time if you wish to gain entry.
