From the murky depths of the literary underground…From the quiet corners of forgotten secondary school English classes…
From the dusty shelves of second-hand bookstores, and the fever dreams of every troubadour with a typewriter, comes an event so perpetually over-caffeinated, so full of dramatic pauses, that it can only mean one thing:
The Poetry Karaoke has returned!
That’s right, the surprise-hit poetry event of the summer is back, and there’s still only one rule – you can’t read your own poems!
Instead, celebrate the poems you love by the writers that have inspired you, by lending your voice to their work and giving it a new life.
Interpret. Share. Perform. But never lay claim.
One Mic. Infinite Voices.
Please join us for The Return of The Poetry Karaoke!

Open to experienced performers and beginners alike, this event is ideal for anyone looking to celebrate the power of poetry, showcase their reading style, and build their stage confidence. Five-minute open mic slots (sign up on the night) – read up to three poems and be sure to tell us why they move or inspire you.
This is a non-funded, voluntarily organised event to promote creativity and wellbeing in the local community. Hosted by C.W. Blackburn, with co-host Peter John Cooper.
Thursday 27th November // 7.30pm til 10.30pm (doors open and sign up from 7.00pm)
