Join your fellow writers for a fun-filled afternoon that combines community, creativity, and charity. Making the Wordcrafters studio more comfortable and accessible for all writers is crucial, and we need your help to make it happen. Spend a Sunday afternoon at Oregon Wine Lab, enjoying writing games and friendly competition over delicious food and drinks, and raise funds for the studio. We’re the June nonprofit of the month, which means 10 percent of all sales on June 23 go to Wordcrafters!

As a writer, you know it’s good to connect with other lovers of word and story, but many literary events can feel too formal or high-pressure. Networking? No way! Even workshops and readings don't always provide the relaxed atmosphere you're looking for or an easy way to connect with others.
Perhaps you need a casual, enjoyable setting where you can socialize and build relationships with fellow writers. Our Summer Social Fun(d)raiser provides just that, with activities designed to foster community and raise funds for Wordcrafters.
Spend an afternoon at Oregon Wine Lab and participate in low-key board games, a writer's bingo ice-breaker, and a friendly trivia contest. Not only will you have fun and meet new people, but you'll also be contributing to a good cause by supporting Wordcrafters.
By attending our Summer Social Fun(d)raiser and Trivia Contest, you'll be directly contributing to making our studio a welcoming space for everyone, while playing (and eating and drinking) the afternoon away.
Support your writing community: Directly help fund accessibility improvements for the Wordcrafters studio. Ten percent of all Oregon Wine Lab’s sales will go to Wordcrafters, plus we’ll have a 50-50 raffle.
Let out your inner word nerd: Enjoy low-key board games, writer's bingo, and a fun team-based literary trivia contest.
Social connection and interaction: Connect with fellow writers and readers in your community. Catch up with old friends and meet some new ones in a relaxed setting.
Make a meaningful impact: Know that your participation will make a tangible difference in creating an inclusive environment.

Time: noon to 5 pm
Location: Oregon Wine Lab, 488 Lincoln St.
Cost: Free and open to the public! (Although you really should buy something to eat and/or drink while you’re there.)
All ages (minors must be accompanied). Dogs welcome on the patio!
Trivia contest: 3-4:30 pm
Cost: Free. Although you can purchase up to 10 hints for $5 each!

Pull together a team of your favorite word nerds and test your knowledge of all things literary in this fun trivia contest for writers. We’re celebrating the power of story at Oregon WIne Lab as their featured June nonprofit. Ten percent of food and drink sales will go to support the Wordcrafrers creative writing studio.
Teams of up to 6 people can sign up in person at 2:45 pm. There’s no charge to play, although you can purchase up to 10 hints for $5 each, the proceeds of which will go to Wordcratfters’ studio fund.
After several rounds of play, focused on writing- and chocolate-related categories, the team with the most points wins writer swag and chocolate.
