Beyond her role as a farmer, Flory is a skilled quilter, artist, soap maker, and product developer. Recently venturing into felting, she generously shares her expertise despite her busy schedule. By using her very own Goat Milk Soap & Island Fibre, Flory seamlessly merges her passions to offer this wonderful project and new skill.
With her recently renovated teaching space and studio, Flory can accommodate a workshop for 30 participants focusing on various fibre techniques and styles. Situated above the rabbit room within her 1973 working barn, the room offers a picturesque view of Charlottetown in the distance, allowing guests to observe the activities of the goats below, or simply relax while listening to the ambient sounds of the animals. Immerse yourself in a felting class that promises lasting value. Just less than 2 hours, this class provides participants with practical takeaways, regardless of their skill level, including instruction on felting soap with a bar of Island Hill Farm Goat Milk Soap enveloped in Island Fibre. Visitors will have the opportunity to see and touch the raw fibres of the alpacas, sheep, highland cows, and angora rabbits.
Additionally, guests can explore the artisan shop, savour a latte in the cafe, or simply relish the unique atmosphere of the location.
Includes transportation to and from the Delta Hotel to Island Hill Farm.
Materials supplied are included in the workshop fee.
