Amelia Rodriques
For musician Amelia Rodriques creativity is something that comes naturally every thought every movement has a creative flair and it’s been like that from a very young age. The desire to nurture and develop this talent has been Amelia’s lifelong dream and something inescapable as it’s embedded in her family. Amelia started her musical journey at a very young age through her dedication to her practices in musical theatre her family have always described her as “living in a musical”. Instead of telling the stories of fantasy within her musical theatre performances Amelia has gone on to tell stories about issues that matter to her which is what makes her so connected to her listeners. She would describe her music as sung trauma. She has continued to perform and record and put out covers over her social platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Between working within the BAME community and continuing her songwriting Amelia has also dedicated her time to advocating for mental health and educating others of the culture of Black and ethnic minorities.

Launched in 2013 NMN has provided a platform for over 300 acts with no restrictions on age or genre and just as importantly a place for people of all ages to hang out and hear something new. He explains “I launched NMN for two reasons: 1 I’d had enough of being told my band couldn’t play the local pubs because we weren’t a covers band; 2 I’d been to an unplugged night at a local school and come away thinking ‘Why do we only get to hear this talent once a year?’ I didn’t know whether it would catch on or not but nearly 12 years later we’re getting bands from all over getting in touch wanting to play.” Tim’s day job is writing: as a magazine journalist he was Editor of Match of the Day and worked for Top Gear Auto Express Smash Hits and others. Today the writing is mostly marketing copy and non-fiction books including ghostwriting the successful Allen Carr Easyway addiction self-help books.
