Join us for a Woodworking workshop in The Cabin on Monday, 10th March to create your own Bird Feeder.
During this 4 hour afternoon woodworking session in The Cabin at Lairg & District Learning Centre, you will develop your woodworking skills and build a beautiful Bird Feeder to take home. You will learn to use a variety of tools including a drill, sander, and jigsaw.
Using recycled and reclaimed wood, our tutor will walk you through the steps to crafting various items. You'll learn how to measure and cut wood accurately and safely; as well as sanding, planing, drilling and sawing.
No previous experience necessary - just bring yourself and your enthusiasm with you!
Self-service tea/coffee is available at the Centre.
ABOUT THE TUTOR:
Graham has been with us at the Learning Centre for a good few years now and has lots of experience teaching here. As our prime tutor of woodworking, if you have been to one of the woodworking workshops recently, then you will know Graham! He is a very patient and friendly tutor who is very good at guiding his attendees through the project at hand, and helping them to complete something unique to take home.
ABOUT FLIGHT PATH:
Through a combination of creative writing workshops, lectures, immersive walks and various mediums of art, we hope to raise awareness and a comprehensive understanding of how climate change is altering the behaviour and distribution of bird species worldwide.
