Class Description

Need help getting started with your DSLR or Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera? This is the perfect class for getting started.

Woodward Camera staff will cover the basics of digital photography, helping you to understand the physics of photography, so you can start taking more control of your photos. They will also offer some strategies to increase the quality of your everyday photos with some great photo tips.

Some of the topics that are covered:

- Getting the most out of the automatic modes

- Taking control of exposure (Shutter Speed, Aperture, ISO)

- Depth of Field

- White Balance

- Accessories to Improve your Capabilities

Do I need to pre-register?

Yes, we have limited seating, so pre-registration is required. Class costs $40, and if you have purchased a camera or lens with us, you are welcome to select "Free Entry."

What do I bring to class?

• A pen and paper to take notes. We will send the power point slides to you after the presentation.

• You're also welcome to bring your camera. While this class is more lecture-style, it can be helpful to follow along with your camera, and it can sometimes be helpful to have your camera when asking questions. We also will offer specials on equipment following class--it may be easier to find accessories specific to your camera if you have it along.
